know any cookbook lovers?

I personally own over 20 cookbooks that range from baked goods to breads and comfort foods…there area  few healthy cookbooks in there too for when I am feeling adventurous (ha!). I truly believe that every home has to have a shelf of old cookbooks that they’ve used over the years to create meals and memories that will get carried forward to the next generation.

That’s why I wanted to share this list with ya’ll of some of my newest faves, and oldest loves. I hope it brings a smile to the chef in your life when they open that imperfectly wrapped gift this holiday season. Let me know if there are any other cookbooks you would suggest in the comments below!

Any cookbook lover will tell you that it is all about which book to display in the kitchen! I love having my favorite ones out for all to see and changing them out for the seasons. That’s where this handy cookbook holder comes in, they will think of you every time they switch out their books and who knows, maybe they’ll even bake you                                                        something to say thanks!

yum & yummer cookbook

Every cook/baker needs a new book to read on the cold winter nights ahead, my favorite one from this year was the Yum & Yummer Cookbook. It is loaded with recipes that are easy to make, healthier for you, and full of so much flavor. We have cooked our way through more than half the book and I’m not done yet! There is even a QR        code on each recipe for a full video tutorial for those cooks who            aren’t quite experienced, making it a great gift for even the beginning                                                        cook.

Know someone who just got married? This Instant Pot Cookbook is a great gift idea as I can almost guarantee they received an Instant Pot as one of their many beautiful wedding gifts! We use ours multiple times throughout the week and it is truly a lifesaver. You can have a delicious pot of our Sweet Potato Soup ready in 25 minutes and spend the rest of the night cuddled in front of the fireplace.

magnolia table: a collection of recipes for gathering

Anyone who watches TV knows who Joanna Gaines is, and for good reason! She effortlessly creates beautiful spaces for gathering as a family to enjoy, the perfect backdrop for her gorgeous cookbook. It is full of family friendly, Southern comfort foods with an Asian fusion spin. The photos are stunning too, it would make a wonderful coffee table book.

cravings: recipes for all the food you want to eat

Okay ya’ll, this is another MUST have cookbook for any level chef. I love Chrissy Teigen for so many reasons, and her food is out of this world. Her Cravings cookbook is great for a girlfriend, gift it with a bottle of wine and a note for a girls night where you two can test out some of your favorite recipes in the book.

martha stewart’s baking handbook

This is BAKING GOLD my friends, and by far one of my most used cookbooks in the kitchen. Martha Stewart is the Queen for a reason, everything from her fudgey brownies to her banana nut bread is beyond incredible and always gobbled up when I make them. She even has a detailed section with tips and techniques to help any level baker.

50 shades of chicken: a parody in a cookbook

Looking for a gag gift for the silly person on your list but want it to be something they actually use?! This Chicken Cookbook is exactly what you need, my brother in law bought this for me the other Christmas and I cannot tell you how many laughs we have had while reading through it. A cookbook written like a story from the chickens perspective with hilarious ties to the naughty book we’ve all secretly read 🙂 My favorite recipe: Learning to Truss your Chicken … trust me friends, this is a MUST HAVE book for you, your sister, your mom, your best friend, your aunt etc!

valerie’s home cooking

Most of us know Valerie Bertinelli from either One Day at a Time or Hot in Cleveland, but did you know she is an incredible cook as well?! I stumbled upon her show on The Food Network a couple of years ago and have been hooked ever since. She makes dishes that are simple and delicious, and easy enough for anyone to create. Valerie’s Home Cooking has over 100 recipes that are geared towards families and creating traditions with food – the perfect gift for a new family, or the girlfriend who seems to always be frazzled at dinner time!
