Christmas Baking Frenzy- Cranberry Drop Cookies

Wow, so hard to believe we have shared ten days of delicious goodies already! Are ya’ll enjoying it?!

Today we are updating a classic shortbread cookie with a White Chocolate Cranberry Drop cookie! Just typing this one out makes me hungry, I mean it has ALL the flavors I associate with Christmas in one delicious bite! It is a nice shortbread density with the freshness of the cranberries and sweetness of the white chocolate, and is another easy one to make (do you see the pattern here, EASY).

Also on the post today, gift ideas for the film buff on your list!

Oh and a little picture I thought ya’ll might enjoy…This was my list of things I needed for all 13 days (just so you can see the craziness in one shot!)

Christmas Baking Frenzy- Classic Magic Bars

Where has the time gone!? We are already on Day 10, which means after today you have 3 delicious posts left to drool over! What has been your favorite one so far? I love hearing your stories as you follow along and make the cookie/bar of the day!

Today is another “classic” for our family! This is one my sister does every year, and since I have recently started eating coconut (in the past two years!) it is one I now LOVE! After today’s post you will be able to make Magic Bars (which are really whatever you want them to be as you can add or take away anything you like!). There are a gazillion variations on this one, but I am only going to post the one we make year after year, the one I KNOW everyone loves!

Did you like the stocking stuffer ideas for women yesterday? Today I will give you some ideas for the man on your list! I hope you enjoy!

Christmas Baking Frenzy- Sugar Cookie

Wow, we are over the halfway mark ya’ll! I really hope you are enjoying these daily posts and continuing to find inspiration for your Christmas baking!

Today’s cookie is so much fun! You can get as creative as you want with them, and the kiddos will LOVE helping out! It’s an all time classic, the Sugar Cookie!!! Oh boy, just wait until you click through the little gallery on the cookie page and see what we did with this years batch. These sugar cookies are perfect, not too sweet and they have no “dense flour” taste at all! The icing is also delicious, and uses meringue powder in place of egg whites for those who are a little nervous about raw eggs in their cookies like me!

So grab your sprinkles and your little candy adornments, and get ready to have some FUN!

*ps* Credit for the cookies you see above goes to Mr. Olive!!! He’s a pretty darn good decorator!

Christmas Baking Frenzy- Shortbread Cookies

So, what did ya’ll think of yesterdays Chocolate Crinkle Cookies? If you have already made them I am guessing that you ate about a half a dozen…they are just one of those cookies you can’t put down!

Now, for today’s treat…A delicious Whipped Shortbread! Oh boy are you guys ever in for a treat with these ones! This recipe has been in my family since the 80’s and it is by far the TASTIEST shortbread I have ever tried! And on top of that, it is so easy to make you will be blown away! No chill time, no cutting, no rolling…just make, plop and bake! It makes a ton of cookies, and only uses 5 ingredients! One of the best thins about all 13 days of goodies is that they can be made in advance and put in the freezer until you’re ready to make your cookie trays!

And also on the post, a few gift ideas for the Creative Person on your Christmas list! Enjoy <3

Christmas Baking Frenzy- Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Hey Everyone! Ooooo I hope you are all as excited as I am for the next 13 days of Christmas goodies! We spent over 9 hours on Saturday baking EVERYTHING you will see over the next 13 days (and more!) and although we had a couple of ah-hem…”mishaps”, we managed to create some really beautiful and very very tasty treats for you to share with your loved ones this Christmas season!

Some of the goodies you see will be classic treats, ones that I am sure most of us have tried at least once, and some will be new (or different) for you to add to your family baking days. Please note, some of the recipes have been in my family for over 30 years so I have no way of crediting the “original” source, but where I can, I will!

So, what’s on the baking table for today you ask? One of my all time favorite, and very festive, Chocolate Crinkle Cookies with a twist! Each bite is full of cakey chocolate and a hint of sweet peppermint! Please, enjoy, and remember to let me know if you try to recipe and what you thought! We will talk tomorrow!
