Best Christmas Sangria
There is nothing I love more than sharing a good cocktail recipe with ya’ll – especially after seeing how much you guys loved our Cranberry Clementine Cocktail from last year! That’s why this year I thought it would be a great idea to do a really festive sangria recipe that you can share with larger groups – and you can even do this completely non-alcoholic as a mocktail sangria if that’s what you prefer!
When you take a sip you are immediately transported to a magical world of yum – the sparkling apple juice mixed with the white wine and fruit is enough to make anyone dream of a white Christmas. It is so simple to mix up as well – after a couple minutes spent chopping apples and grapes everything else gets poured into the pitcher and stirred before going in the fridge to set the flavors. This will leave you with more time to get those Christmas cookies baked and placed on your goodie trays!
FAQs for Christmas Sangria
Here are some of the questions you guys have asked about making sangria and cocktails over the years – if you have a question that isn’t here feel free to leave a comment or email us and we will respond as soon as we can!
What is White Sangria?
This is a great question – white sangria is simple a mix of cut up fresh fruits, fruit juice (not required) and a simple white wine (like a Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Gewurztraminer etc) all mixed together to create a one of a kind cocktail to serve any time of year!
What Fruit can you put in Sangria?
The possibilities for the “right” fruit are really as endless as your imagination here. Now, you will want to be sure to pick fruits based off of your base – if you are doing a white sangria recipe fruits like apples, grapes, peaches, pears, strawberries and citrus go really well. If you are making a red sangria then you will want to use things more like oranges, plums, cherries and any citrus.
How far in Advance can you make Sangria?
The sooner the better – at least that’s my preference!!! I try to always make my sangria the day before to give the fruits time to soak up the goodness and really incorporate the flavors throughout. That being said, if you have to make yours the day of that’s okay too, just TRY to do it at least 3 hours in advance for the best flavor outcome.
