BEST Advent Calendars for 2019 – for Kids & Adults

Share for the love of FOOD!

Whether you’re looking for an advent calendar for your kids or one for yourself this complete guide has something for everyone! Advent Calendars are fun for the whole family and give us something to look forward to while we wait for Christmas to arrive.¬†

I want you to close your eyes and think back to your childhood and the best part leading up to Christmas day? If you’re like me, it was waking up every day and running to my chocolate advent calendar to see what the days treat was going to be! I grew up in the 80’s so our calendars were not anything like they are today; you can get everything from toy calendars to bath bomb making calendars, but they were still so much fun and the chocolate wasn’t too bad either ūüôā

Chocolate advent calendars for kids and adults

Of course we are going to start off with the “traditional” chocolate advent calendars, but I assure you that there is nothing boring about them.

Reese’s Calendar¬†

Well it’s no surprise if you’ve followed us for awhile that this would be the first one I mention; I am a chocolate peanut butter LOVER! Who wouldn’t want to eat one of their mini cups daily?

This is one of my moms personal favorite chocolates so if I was to buy her any of the advents this would be the one! It is a more “grown up” chocolate with a silky, melt in your mouth goodness. Plus they are adorable little bears!

Peppa Pig nut free calendar

Is it just me or does it feel like Peppa is everywhere?! It could just be because my niece is obsessed with the show so I have become more immersed in the kids show culture (ya’ll know what I’m talking about…) but regardless, we are LOVING that this chocolate advent calendar is nut free – making it a great option for kiddos with allergies.

hershey’s mixed calendar¬†¬†

This is a great chocolate calendar if you like a little variety and want a mixture of treats over the 24 days leading up to Christmas!

toy advent calendars for kids

I have noticed in the last few years that these toy calendars are gaining more and more popularity amongst kids and their parents, and for good reason too! It is a great way to still participate in the fun of opening a new advent door every day, but keeps it a good sugar free alternative. Also, the toy calendars last longer (some of them you build over the course of 24 days) meaning that your kiddos are entertained for longer.

paw patrol collectible toy calendar

This is sure to be a hit with kids in the 3-7 year age range – they are all over anything to do with Skye, Ryder, Marshall and Ruble! With this advent they get to collect 24 different toys (including the pups and a sleigh) and can create different Christmas scenes.

A really fun and interactive calendar; it has everything your child needs to make special ornaments, decorations and coloring projects! This would be top of my list if we had kiddos.

Funko Marvel Advent Calendar

Have older kids?! Or even a collector hubby (like Mr.Olive)? They will LOVE this Anniversary collection Funko advent calendar that features pocket pop Marvel characters! I know my nephews would go crazy if I bought this for them – best Zia ever!

diy slime advent calendar

Here is another super cool and very UNIQUE advent calendar that I know the kids will love this year! Slime has been growing in popularity in the last couple of years and this calendar has 24 days of slime, beads and charms to make it a one of a kind gift any kid would love to get.

fun advent calendars you haven’t seen before

alcohol advent calendar Рdiy

This is the PERFECT idea for the wine lover (or whiskey lover) in your family! It is the cutest, ready to fill Christmas themed box made specifically for holding mini liquor and wine bottles. You will surely be on Santa’s good list with this one.

What a fantastic idea for an advent calendar! I would be delighted if someone got me this (might have to cave and buy it for myself) since I am an artsy person by nature. The best thing about this one is that it is a great option for both kids and adults, and it’s price point is right up my alley!

Well that’s it friends! What do you think of all the different calendars we listed above!? Do you have a favorite? Is there a calendar from your childhood that we are missing and need to see?
