Today we thought it would be fitting to take our treats straight from the North Pole so we created these super fun, quick and easy to make White Chocolate Haystack Cookies for you to share at your Christmas and Holiday Parties!
History of our Haystack Recipe
If you have been following along with us you will know that these cookies (well the traditional ones) hold a special place in my heart. You see, when I was younger we used to make them with my Grandma whenever we had leftover chow mein noodles and some chocolate. With them being so easy to make and their ability to freeze amazingly it was a treat we could have on hand whenever the craving struck…and after trying these cookies I know you will want them ALL THE TIME!
That is one thing I love the most about the Holidays, sharing old memories with family and loved ones while creating new ones to be enjoyed for years to come. My mom, sister and I have been baking since I can remember and are always creating fun new treats to share on our cookie trays that we give out every year. I just know these bite sized Elf Poop Haystack Cookies are going to be a big hit this year!

FAQs for White Chocolate Haystacks
What do you put in a Haystack?
The basic haystack cookie will always have 2 ingredients; chow mein noodles and melted chocolate. Now depending on the variation you are making there are other add ins that you may need. With our Elf Poop you will need to have white chocolate as well as peanuts and fun sprinkles. If you make our traditional haystacks you will also need peanut butter.
Do Haystacks need to be Refrigerated?
While you don’t NEED to refrigerate your haystack cookies, I highly recommend that you do if you don’t want them to melt. We put ours in a sealed container and keep them in the fridge for when we feel like a sweet treat. If you are using your haystacks for a cookie swap you can even put them in the freezer and take them out when it’s time to assemble your trays.

Our Elf Poop Chocolate Haystacks wouldn’t be complete without some fun Christmas Sprinkles! Make sure you are replacing your sprinkles from last year – believe it or not they go stale and no one wants that.
